How long have you been teaching for?

Our head teacher Riley Nottingham has been teaching since 2015 to kids as young as 5, through to young adults, through to people in their 30s for diploma level acting.

Can my child start later in the term?

We accept students up to week 3 of term 1 or 2. Semester 2 is a bit of a different beast, so please contact us.

Why are fees for Semester 2 Junior and Senior classes more expensive?

Good question! Mainly to help cover the costs of the professional camera, lighting, sound, production design, costume design, editing, sound post and colour grading costs required to create a professional-level shortform series for the web.

Additionally, Terms 3 & 4 are a bit more ‘full on’ in terms of several industry professionals guest teaching, and some extra filming dates outside of class time as part of the webseries creation in term 4.

Why do you make a webseries in semester two?

Performance based learning is at the heart of how we teach. To solidify and build upon skills learnt in semester one, our students create and film their own work in semester two. By working directly with a professional writer, director, lighting, sound, and production design crew, our students take ownership of their own learning.

Another reason for the webseries is because a lot of acting schools culminate in stage performance only, whereas we believe learning to work in both mediums are very important. Furthermore the webseries provides a great showcasing opportunity at the cinema screening, quality showreel material and greatly assists in approaching acting agents.

Where is the cinema screening on Thursday 10th December 2020?

This is TBC, but may be the Sun Theatre (Yarraville) or Palace Kino (Carlton).
