In 2019, Riley was named as a ‘Ones to Watch’ Producer by Screen Producers Australia (SPA). His is the co-founder and CEO of Australian production company Humdrum Comedy.
Riley has worked in the producing team for: True Story with Hamish & Andy, The Yearly with Charlie Pickering, Married at First Sight, Hamish & Andy’s ‘Perfect’ Holiday, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Love Island and Tomorrow Tonight.
Riley has been a Casting Producer for: Survivor, Junior MasterChef, Ultimate Tag, Beauty & The Geek, Netflix’s The Mole, Hunted, Beauty & The Geek, My Mum Your Dad and Headliners.
As a Field Producer/Director, Riley has worked across six seasons of smash hit Gogglebox Australia and the BDC project for Paramount+. Riley has produced music videos and short films like TJ Power’s Your Call is Important to Us and The Bus to Birra Birra.
Riley has also produced the Australian professional premiere of Gilligan’s Island: The Musical, the Victorian professional premiere of His Ghostly Heart, co-composed, produced and performed in original musical Super Elusive Condom: The Musical and toured his two solo shows around Australia Manifesto and Needs Your Help.
As a showrunner, Riley has created, written for, produced and acted in: We are Darren & Riley (for ZPTV and Roku), Hitstroke FM (for TVNZ and Virgin Airlines) and two seasons of the smash hit sitcom Metro Sexual (for Crackle, OUTtv and the Nine Network).

Other Interesting Stuff
In the business world, Riley has held senior positions at the Australian Institute of Music, the Yarraville Club and Ensight. He also founded stationery business ThePen and DoneItNow Transcription, one of Australia’s largest transcription businesses, in which he sold his stake in 2014. Riley also co-founded the bands Unlikely Superheroes and Little Buffalo, releasing two EPs during that time.
